The University of Florida (UF) Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program is seeking a part-time Student Assistant who is enrolled in graduate school to join our team. This grant-funded, OPS student position reports to the McNair Director and supports key activities essential to the program’s success. Applicants must be available throughout the academic year, including summer, and commit to at least one year in the role. The position is renewable depending on demonstrated success and continued funding. About the McNair Scholars Program : Housed within UF Student Success, the McNair Scholars Program provides a pathway to graduate school for first-generation undergraduate students from limited-income backgrounds. Each year, the program supports 25 outstanding scholars from diverse disciplines, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to successfully pursue Ph.D. studies. McNair Scholars engage in faculty-mentored research and participate in other scholarly activities designed to enhance their academic journey and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of doctoral education. The McNair Scholars Program is a federal TRIO initiative, supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education and additional funding from UF. We are a small program that makes a BIG impact!
