About The Position

The Student Assistant Specialist will help troubleshoot technical issues that arise and support the professor in demonstrating equipment usage.   • Familiarity with sound equipment
  • Familiarity with lighting equipment
  • Familiarity with editing software

Responsibilities

  • Check out equipment at the beginning of class
  • Charge batteries at the beginning of class
  • Test batteries at the beginning of class
  • Test cameras at the beginning of class
  • Test sound equipment at the beginning of class
  • Clean lenses throughout class
  • Demonstrate use of equipment throughout class
  • Return equipment at the end of class
  • Assisting the professor in demonstrating how to use the equipment
  • Maintaining the equipment
  • Helping the students with editing questions.
