About The Position

Assists with administrative and fiscal tasks; organize and coordinate office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Coordinates and corresponds with residents regarding assignments. Processes and verifies contracts and occupancy in on-campus student housing. Ensures that customers contacting the Housing Operations office, either by phone or in person, receive the best service possible. The Housing Operations team is made up of many unique positions and each member is cross trained to provide extra support when needed. Job performance will determine continued employment for the following semester.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communications skills.
  • Work well with others.
  • Able to communicate well in English.
  • Highly self-motivated, organizational skills, and task oriented
  • Responsible and trustworthy.
  • Adherence to established Front Desk dress code and expectations is required.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Work, Outlook, etc.
  • Able to properly use a computer, phone, copy machine.
  • Able to work 19 hours Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.
  • Some after-work hours may be required.
  • High School
  • 3 Months of General Work Experience
  • Typical office environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior office skills/experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service, or hospitality experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with tasks regarding contracts and occupancy in on-campus student housing.
  • Follows specific instructions and performs clerical work using established routines.
  • Applies analysis and problem-solving in performing job duties.
  • Files documents in appropriate folders or performs data entry tasks.
  • Uses office machines such as copiers, scanners, and desk top computers.
  • Provides customer service in person, email or by phone, greets visitors, and resolves routine questions or issues following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Attends weekly training meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
