About The Position

The Office of Student Accountability & Conflict Response is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Student Affairs Case Manager . This position is the primary case manager for student conduct cases at the following Penn State campuses: Dubois, Fayette, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Shenango, Wilkes-Barre, and York. This position is responsible for investigation, adjudication, sanction tracking, and case documentation, as well as keeping campus staff informed of relevant information. This position will also assist with student misconduct issues for other Penn State campuses as needed and as time allows. Consultation regarding Threat Management, Crisis Response, and Students of Concern – Many incidents of misconduct are also analyzed and managed from a behavioral threat, care, and critical incident lens. This position will help coordinate analysis and response among the various units, streamlining, professionalizing, and refining the process. Records Maintenance and Retention – Working closely with the Maxient Case Coordinator, t his position will audit student affairs-related Maxient records and make necessary corrections, close outstanding files, move active cases to students’ new campuses, and prepare them for record retention. Additional Position Information: Work will be primarily performed remotely with occasional training, in-person meetings, or investigations that will require travel to University Park or other Penn State campuses.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, judgment, ethical decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist people in crisis.
  • Master's Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
