About The Position

Our Client, Anthem Structural Engineers is seeking an experienced and motivated Structural Project Manager with 8-12 years of experience to join their growing commercial and industrial practice in their Golden or Boulder office. This position is designed for a structural engineer who thrives in a leadership role — managing people, projects, and clients with equal skill and care. You’ll oversee planning, coordination, and delivery for a variety of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects across Colorado and the Mountain West. The right candidate combines technical excellence with strong business acumen and team leadership. You’ll guide a talented group of engineers and designers, foster collaboration and accountability, and ensure projects are delivered with the high level of quality and responsiveness that Anthem is known for. Plan ahead, anticipate challenges, and ensure your team is functioning effectively with the right people in the right roles. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • 8–12 years of experience in structural engineering with emphasis on commercial or industrial projects.
  • Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure and structural analysis software (RISA, RAM, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of steel, concrete, masonry, and post-tensioned concrete systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-relationship skills.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Colorado’s Front Range.

Responsibilities

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of structural engineering principles across diverse commercial and industrial project types.
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Function as Engineer of Record on multiple or complex projects.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability within the project team and across disciplines.
  • Serve as a technical advisor and subject-matter expert on commercial and industrial projects.
  • Oversee design of complete structural systems with innovation and precision.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide construction administration support including field visits, RFI review, and observation reports.
  • Promote efficiency and quality through mentoring and refinement of design processes.
  • Establish and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate internal and external teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Prepare and manage fee proposals, contracts, and add-service requests.
  • Support business development efforts and client relationship management.
  • Provide direction on staffing, technical priorities, and team assignments.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and mentorship sessions.
  • Coach engineers and junior project managers to build technical and leadership capacity.
  • Lead team meetings to track progress and align with firm goals.
  • Represent Anthem in client meetings, interviews, and industry events.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting, production, and senior leadership on project performance.
