About The Position

Our client, Anthem Structural Engineers is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Project Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to join their Golden or Boulder office. This position is ideal for an engineer ready to take the next step in their career—owning projects from design through construction while collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and project managers on commercial and industrial projects throughout Colorado and the Mountain West. At Anthem, their engineers are deeply involved in every aspect of design and delivery. You’ll work in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment that values creativity, technical excellence, and clear communication. Be the business, client, and project engineer for your work. Plan ahead, problem-solve, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and with care. Manage resources including BIM staff and design engineers, participate in project team meetings, and track performance, quality, and deadlines. Communicate effectively with clients and team members while keeping project managers informed of progress, challenges, and opportunities. You’ll grow your technical and management abilities by taking on increasingly complex projects and embracing continued learning through mentorship from senior engineers.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in structural engineering (commercial and/or industrial experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain Colorado licensure within 6 months.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, RISA 2D/3D, RAM, and related structural analysis software.
  • Strong technical understanding of steel, concrete, and masonry design.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Colorado’s Front Range.

Responsibilities

  • Design and detail complete structural systems and components for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and review drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Perform construction administration including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site visits, and field reports.
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex design and construction issues.
  • Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets with accountability and precision.
  • Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, and consultants to maintain clarity and alignment.
  • Assign and review work with BIM and design staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain Anthem’s quality assurance standards on all deliverables.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
  • Participate in internal project meetings and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
  • Receive ongoing coaching and technical training from senior engineers to deepen your expertise.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through responsiveness and reliability.
