We are searching for a Structural Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Facilities - Electronics team in Tempe, AZ or San Diego, CA working on projects thatâ¯enable the heart of our clients' business. In this position you'llâ¯have the chance to work onâ¯projects including the design of new structures as well as existing structural upgrades. With mentorship and guidance from our Professional Engineers and technical experts, counted on to assist in the performance of structural analysis and design for our projects. To be successful in this position you will need strong communication and interpersonal skills as you work closely with your Structural Lead, Project Managers, Professional Engineers, and Designers across different disciplines. As part of this team, you will perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as the structural design is developed, and learn to work with our Designers to get the structural requirements communicated on paper and in the model. Your internship will build on your structural coursework, exposing you to multiple subject areas, and learning how structural design integrates with and impacts other disciplines. You will also develop understanding of principles of analysis and design of vertical and lateral structural systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
