About The Position

Join Encorus Group, a multidisciplinary engineering firm where interns don’t just observe—they contribute. You’ll work on a variety of AEC and industrial projects, gaining exposure to structural steel, concrete, masonry, timber systems, foundations, and industrial process structures—all within a collaborative, supportive environment that values mentorship, learning, and curiosity.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural concentration.
  • Interest in pursuing Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering/design software such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, STAAD Pro, or similar analytical tools.
  • Ability to collect and verify design and field information, including dimensions, clearances, and constructability considerations.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment testing.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with structural analysis, design, and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems.
  • Support the development of design drawings, calculations, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Perform basic drafting, redlines, documentation updates, and project file coordination.
  • Coordinate design work with internal teams and external professionals, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
  • Assist project managers with correspondence, material takeoffs, design concepts, calculations, and deliverables.
  • Complete engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creative problem-solving for unique or non-standard structural conditions.
  • Work independently on small project tasks and assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
  • Participate in both office and field assignments, including site visits for field verification and inspections.
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of assigned deliverables.
