About The Position

Analyze Non-Conformances: Review manufacturing defects or damage (e.g., oversized holes, cracks, corrosion) on metallic and composite parts. Perform Stress Analysis: Conduct structural analysis (hand calcs, Finite Element Analysis - FEA) to verify proposed repairs or acceptances. Provide Dispositions: Determine appropriate actions for non-conforming parts (accept as is, repair, rework, scrap). Collaborate: Work with design, quality, manufacturing, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) teams. Document: Prepare technical reports and strength check notes for formal approval. Support Production: Expedite resolutions for critical AOG (Aircraft on Ground) issues. Represent MRB Engineering in Material Review Boards (MRBs) and ensure timely resolution of nonconformances to minimize production disruptions Experience with Stress Justification Reports or structural substantiation. Strong background in structural analysis and mechanics of materials. Proficiency in FEA software and stress calculation methods. Understanding of aerospace materials (composites, alloys) and standards.
