About The Position

The Strategy Operations Leader will drive strategic projects and critical business initiatives within the newly formed Commercial Engines and Services (CES) Strategy Office. This role involves developing strategic frameworks, actionable recommendations, and innovative solutions to support CES business unit leaders in identifying, prioritizing, and executing strategic agendas. The strategy leader will complete robust qualitative and quantitative analysis, track operational execution, and provide insights to shape a strategic direction for the CES business unit that drives business growth, improves operational efficiency, and enhances competitive positioning. The scope of the role includes strategic initiatives across CES engine programs and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, operations, consulting or related fields.

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

  • Strategy Consulting, investment banking, or other similar experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience operationalizing strategy by setting the organization’s operational cadence, establishing and driving KPIs, evaluating performance, and suggesting measures for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic tools and frameworks: Create standardized tools (e.g., value-stream mapping, market segmentation, VOC, NPV/DCF) to support strategic planning.
  • Coach and collaborate: Guide CES teams on strategic initiatives and integrate multiple points of view from inside and outside CES, including third parties.
  • Drive strategic planning and execution: Drive the CES annual strategic cycle and track progress against commitments.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making: Analyze market dynamics, trends, and value chains to inform strategy and product enhancements.
  • Challenge and optimize: Strive for an optionality approach that ensures comprehensive consideration of strategic options, offer new solutions, and challenge status quo thinking within the organization.
  • Deliver actionable insights: Produce clear recommendations and visualizations (e.g., Mekko charts) for executive decision-making.
