Our Americas Distribution & Service Division (ADSD) provides governance and administration of Cat® dealers across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. As the Strategy Manager you will lead the development and execution of the mid to long-term business development strategy with the business partners in the assigned territory or market.

Requirements

  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
  • Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and directs all projects of identified continuous improvement workstreams.
  • Governs weekly/monthly quarterly reviews and report-outs for each workstream.
  • Manages metrics, dashboards and supporting tools to monitor performance and execute plans.
  • Ensures implementation of actions are driven at all levels of the dealer organization and has customer impact.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with business partners across the organization to ensure adequate level of support for plan execution.
  • Collects Voice of the Customer (VOC) and Voice of the Dealer (VOD) to propose ideas for business growth or to adequately and quickly adapt execution plan.
  • Gathers information and assesses the market, including competitive issues, market dynamics, market service needs and the company position in the industry by securing a leadership role within the trade associations, technical bodies and schools particular to this sector.
  • Other duties as assigned by management from time-to-time.
