Join us this summer in our Overland Park, KS office as a Strategy Intern for our Summer Internship Program! The Strategy Intern will work within the Strategic Planning department, which serves as the voice and heart of the consumer across the integrated planning practice within MMGY. Supported by the larger Strategic Planning team, they will assist in conducting consumer research, learn about tracking trends and cultural shifts and gain hands-on experience on client accounts across the travel industry. More about our internship Day to day duties may include: Conducting consumer research to understand traveler behavior and motivations; staying updated on travel industry trends and cultural shifts, translating findings into actionable insights for clients; analyzing data from various sources to extract key insights, supporting the creation of strategic documents like project and creative briefs; utilizing competitive and social listening tools to produce competitive analysis reports The Strategy Intern will work on real client projects, some of those may include: Pure Michigan, Choice Hotels, Explore Asheville Opportunity to contribute to The Situation, a monthly resource on travel and cultural trends, along with case studies, to inform MMGY associates on topics that may impact client work The Strategy Intern will get to work with a variety of tools/platforms including: GWI, Mintel, Sprout Social, MediaRadar, proprietary MMGY research tools, etc. What we are looking for in an intern Innate curiosity: A strong desire to learn and explore new ideas, consistently seeking out opportunities to deepen your knowledge. Self-starter: Motivated and proactive, able to take initiative and work independently. Organized: Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, keeping track of details and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills: Clear and effective communicator, able to present ideas confidently in both written and spoken formats. Creative and analytical thinking: Able to balance creativity with analytical problem-solving, bringing fresh ideas while considering data and insights to inform decisions. Program Details: As an Intern at MMGY Global, you will receive hands-on work experience and get to work directly with our clients. You will be assigned a supervisor to foster your professional development and guide you throughout the program. MMGY Global’s internships will run from June 8, 2026, through August 6, 2026. You will work Monday - Thursday in the office, up to 32 hours per week. This is a paid internship at $14 per hour.
