About The Position

Blumhouse is seeking an MBA intern to support the Strategy & Operations function for Summer 2026 from approx. June 1 – July 24.. As a Blumhouse intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on a multitude of projects and tasks, conduct industry research, and attend weekly meetings with TV and Film executives at a fast-growing company with a unique business model. Compensation: $18.00/hour and school credit available

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an MBA program of an accredited college or university
4+ years of work experience
Able to work 3-4 days in the office in Koreatown, Los Angeles. 40 hours/week total
Passionate about Entertainment and interested in business models within creative industries
Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into a clear yet nuanced conclusion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in presenting complex data analysis to a non-quantitative audience
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, sumifs, simple array formulas, NPV analysis is a core capability)
Interest in AI. Experience using various LLMs and basic vibecoding
Be able to handle fast-paced environments and various personalities
Organized, technology savvy, willing to take initiative and be proactive on intern projects
Must be good with time management and able to multitask

Nice To Haves

Passion for Horror Films and/or Horror Games
Experience in Entertainment – either in Film/TV, Gaming or Creator Economy
Or Tech experience - Interest in AI and its application to entertainment
Or Corporate Finance Experience
Proficiency with Tableau, VBA or Python

Responsibilities

Performance business research tasks related to Film, TV, and broader content businesses
Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, IP analyses, for the Film, TV and gaming businesses
Prepare short presentations for senior executives on key business opportunities and marketplace trends
Assist members of Finance department with modeling film ultimates, business performance and title profitability
Pitch in on company operations to design stronger processes as the company scales
Track capital raises and terms from comparable companies
