About The Position

Reporting to the Operations Strategy Manager, the Strategy & Change Management Associate will play a key role within Suffolk’s Operational Excellence team, supporting both strategic planning and change management for key initiatives. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, bringing structured thinking to complex challenges while working in the details to make change happen. The Associate will help execute Suffolk’s strategy for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and decision-making. This is a cross-functional role that works closely with business unit leaders and functional teams across the organization to help design and coordinate the roll out for new tools and processes, with a focus on driving engagement, adoption, and sustained impact. The ideal candidate will be passionate about organizational transformation, AI and technology enablement, and supporting teams through change.

Requirements

  • Curious, motivated self-starter with a strong interest in operations, strategy, and organizational improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a STEM field, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2–4 years of experience in pre-MBA management consulting, project or program management, construction management, or a related role.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support projects with strong task management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex topics and contribute to structured solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting information and updates to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to dive into details to identify the best path forward.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI tools or technology enablement preferred, with enthusiasm for driving adoption of emerging technologies and translating technical capabilities into practical business solutions.
  • Familiarity with change management concepts or exposure to transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Change Management & Enablement
  • Support the implementation of key Operations initiatives by coordinating activities, tracking progress, and assisting with change management efforts to support effective communication, training, and adoption.
  • Help monitor the effectiveness of change initiatives by tracking adoption and feedback and participate in cross-functional working sessions to drive alignment, engagement, and consistent execution.
  • Build a strong understanding of Operations workflows and jobsite needs to help ensure recommendations are practical and relevant.
  • Support the integration of AI and technology solutions into operational workflows by assisting with pilots, documentation, rollout planning, and user support.
  • Partner with internal teams to review proven AI use cases, define success metrics, and ensure solutions deliver measurable impact.
  • Support the development of enablement strategies that help teams understand and leverage AI tools effectively.
  • Assist with ongoing improvements to Suffolk’s Operations communications strategy to improve clarity, consistency, and engagement across the organization.
  • Strategic Planning
  • Support the Operations Strategy team in addressing the organization’s most critical challenges, including initiatives to enable smart growth, improve processes, and strengthen cross-department collaboration.
  • Assist with annual planning activities to align departmental goals, prioritize initiatives, and track progress against objectives.
  • Help develop presentations and summaries that clearly communicate insights, progress updates, and recommendations for leadership review.
