DESCRIPTION: The Strategy & Intake Associate plays a critical role in advancing Thermo Fisher Scientific’s enterprise AI and digital transformation initiatives. You will support planning activities, help shape early-stage opportunities, and ensure timely review of bottom-up AI submissions across the company. By combining analytical rigor with operational stability, you will strengthen the health, visibility, and effectiveness of our AI opportunity pipeline and contribute directly to the company’s broader digital strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or digital transformation roles.
  • Experience conducting research, analysis, and synthesizing insights for leadership.
  • Exposure to AI, automation, or process improvement concepts preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to structure ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-ready written summaries and presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Detail orientation and commitment to operational discipline.

  • Exposure to AI, automation, or process improvement concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of enterprise AI and digital strategies through research, benchmarking, trend analysis, and insights generation.
  • Conduct early-stage analysis of AI, automation, and data-related opportunities, including feasibility reviews, business value assessments, and scoping.
  • Contribute to the intake and triage of bottom-up submissions, maintaining SLAs and ensuring idea submitters receive timely guidance and communication.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and materials for leadership reviews, portfolio discussions, and Steering Committee updates.
  • Partner with Business Development, Transformation Managers, and functional stakeholders to ensure seamless handoff between intake and program execution.
  • Assist in documenting business requirements, high-level workflows, and preliminary opportunity statements to support prioritization and alignment with enterprise objectives.
  • Support thematic opportunity analysis and pipeline pattern recognition to inform broader strategic direction and investment decisions.
