About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Strategic Planner to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Responsibilities Lead enterprise strategic planning and policy support: conduct strategic assessments, policy reviews, and interpret statutory/DoD guidance to evaluate enterprise operational impacts. Direct analysis of leadership taskings, comment‑resolution matrices, gap assessments, and decision timelines to represent CIO/G6 equities accurately. Coordinate cross‑functional planning to align long‑range objectives with operational realities, resource constraints, and execution risk. Develop executive‑level briefings, decision‑support materials, communications, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. Maintain authoritative strategic knowledge products, chair/coordinate boards and committees, and track decisions, actions, and follow‑ons. Advise leadership on implementation considerations, tradeoffs, and cross-cutting impacts to inform prioritization and portfolio decisions. Integrate industry best practices and operational insight into governance models, investment priorities, and modernization roadmaps. Provide mentorship and guidance to planners and analysts; drive continuous improvement of strategic planning processes and artifacts. #ENOCS Qualifications Qualifications Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance. Candidate must meet ONE of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR Relevant DoD/military training (example: Cyber 101); OR Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: SecurityX/CASP+; CCISO; CCSP; CISM; CISSO; CISSP; GSLC). Required experience and skills: Strategic planning, policy analysis, or senior advisory experience with at least 7 years supporting enterprise IT, cybersecurity, or defense programs. Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex regulatory/technical guidance into decision‑grade analyses, COAs, ROMs, and executive briefs. Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills to coordinate cross‑domain planning, adjudicate comments, and reconcile competing priorities. Proven experience maintaining governance artifacts, running boards/committees, and tracking actions/decision logs to closure. Excellent written and oral communication skills for senior leadership briefings and high‑visibility deliverables. Desired: Prior DoD/ARNG strategic planning or CIO/G6 policy support experience. Requirements
