About The Position

As a Strategic Partnerships Representative, Senior, you’ll lead initiatives that strengthen relationships, create meaningful programs, and ensure our partnerships deliver real impact. This role is central to advancing APS’s mission of safety, reliability, and affordability while fostering trust and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Non-Profit Management or related fields
  • PLUS five (5) years related experience in community development, community relations and/or corporate philanthropy;
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate the efforts of other team members in support of events.
  • Solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management, organizational, planning and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Position involves regular evening and weekend work as well as statewide travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of Arizonas rural communities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project lead and drive results by implementing community outreach strategies in partnership with external organizations and internal departments.
  • Manage APS sponsored events that provide distinct exposure, enhance reputation and provide social value.
  • Plan and organize numerous events and/or meetings for APS, as well as developing materials and post-event activities.
  • Work closely with internal and external event committees to ensure event goals and objectives are accomplished.
  • Utilize social media to promote events and programs sponsored by APS.
  • Conduct public presentations and briefings to educate community stakeholders on important business initiatives.
  • Maintain a calendar of events and implement a system that enables and anticipates planning and effective management of meetings and events.
  • Establish protocols and procedures with planning committees, subcontractors and program staff.
  • Communicate important business initiatives, solicit input and share information on APSs efforts in the community.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of community leaders and stakeholders to facilitate this communication and outreach process.
  • Collaborate in the evaluation of existing partnerships and helps develop a framework that measures partnership outcomes, impacts and process.
  • Collaborate in the evaluation and development of new strategic community partnerships while upholding high standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participates in due-diligence, market research as well as feasibility and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Represent the company at public functions related to community-based activities, community forums, and charitable activities.
