Strategic Initiatives Group The Strategic Initiatives group was established to provide a talent pipeline to leadership positions in CNA National. Reporting to CNA National’s Chief Operating Officer, this small team is responsible for design and execution of solutions which respond rapidly to opportunities supporting profitable growth of the business. Team members work on several projects at any given time and take them from conceptual design all the way through implementation. They operate in both individual contributor roles, as well as in supporting roles to executive leadership. Candidate Profile – Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives. Ideal candidates will be results-driven individuals who are quick learners with an aptitude for problem solving, who combine a quantitative outlook with the ability to lead and motivate teams. They should thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with business leaders and be viewed as impartial and trusted advisors. Other critical skills are flexibility, comfort with ambiguity, and an ability to align the interests of multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Five years of work experience, with a minimum of three years at a leading consulting firm in an Associate, Senior Associate, Consultant, or Senior Consultant role.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert levels of proficiency with MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • BA/BS required.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance, warranty, or automotive experience would be a plus but is not a necessity
  • Undergraduate education in a quantitative field and MBA would be preferred
