About The Position

The Strategic Capital Group (SCG), which sits within Bain Capital’s Investor Relations team, launched in 2023 to serve as a dedicate resource to manage all non-fund related activities across the firm. This activity primarily consists of LP coinvestment, but also includes transactions such as GP-led secondaries, minority stake sales, and liquidity solutions. The core goals for the SCG team are to deepen and manage relationships with direct investment and secondary professionals across our LP base and engage with Bain Capital investment teams on alternative capital solutions opportunities.
The Strategic Capital Group is seeking a highly motivated co-op to be deeply integrated with the SCG team on day-to-day operations and project management. This includes data management for existing relationships, market research, and helping to build internal reporting functions. The Strategic Capital Group co-op will also assist with various data projects using Excel Macro VBAs and Salesforce reports to improve processes and build efficiencies for the team. This role will offer exposure to the breadth of Bain Capital’s investment and operations teams and strategic initiatives of a growing team.

• Advanced PowerPoint skills, including the ability to create clear, visually polished, and well-structured presentation materials from scratch for internal reviews, investor-facing communications, and external stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills, including data organization, analysis, and the ability to translate quantitative outputs into concise presentation-ready insights
• Self-starter with strong project management and follow through skills
• Detail oriented, conscientious, and energetic professional with ability to think creatively
• Capacity to discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information
• Team player with a “Can do” attitude; Willingness to take on any task, no matter how small
