Following its acquisition by Galderma, the world’s largest independent dermatology company, Alastin continues its rapid growth as an independent business unit. The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for driving significant growth in select, high-potential accounts by partnering with Account Managers within the Area. The SAM will conduct comprehensive business assessments for practices, identify opportunities for Alastin growth, and develop S.M.A.R.T. (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-bound) action plans. Strategic Accounts are determined based on specific criteria, including a commitment to partnering with Alastin and a validated opportunity for product, provider, and/or location expansion. The SAM reports to the Strategic Account Sales Manager and will mentor Regional teams on developing and growing retail profit centers, maximizing marketing strategies, and optimizing patient experience through analysis of reports and ROI.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 5 or more years Aesthetic sales experience
  • Proven expertise in integrating medical and retail in a practice
  • Effective coaching, training and development skills
  • Effective goal setting, planning and communication, relationship-building, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to utilize Excel and PowerPoint when needed
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and get others to buy in to specific goals and strategies in a fast placed, demanding environment
  • Self-reliant with the ability to make solid business decisions

Responsibilities

  • Conduct business assessment and build strategic growth plan for designated Strategic Accounts for accelerated growth
  • Partner with local Account Manager to develop forecast targets, initiatives to drive growth and reports to monitor progress of these accounts
  • Establish and apply business building principles on best practices related to successful revenue generating approaches and pull through strategies, office promotions etc.
  • Conduct Account Business Reviews after thorough account analysis from account reports with each specified account and ensure AMs on the team are effective in presenting ABRs as well
  • Serve as lead on approaches that foster patient loyalty and an excellent patient experience within the practices they cover
  • Partner with the AMs to apply strategic account management principles to enhance the relationship with each office
  • Develop action plan, applying S.M.A.R.T. principles, to include education on the science, messaging, social media, provide selling skills for office staff, incentives and general best practices
  • Participate in regular SAM Success team calls to collaborate with the SAM team along with the Training and Education and Marketing teams
  • Align business decisions with strategic goals by demonstrating knowledge of market, competition and profitability
  • Establish travel itinerary (quarterly) with Strategic Account Sales Manager or Regional Director based on area/territory priorities and T&E budget
  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements
