Atlas Roof Shingles, Underlayments & Ventilation is seeking a Strategic Account Manager in a remote capacity located near any major airport. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding strategic relationships and long-term growth across national contractor and private equity organizations. This role drives targeted growth opportunities, develops and executes strategic business programs, and partners with senior leadership to deliver measurable, sustainable revenue growth, increased square volume, and long-term account penetration. This position reports to the Sr. National Account Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years in the manufacturing/construction industry
  • Minimum of two years of outside field sales or management experience in the building material industry specialized in preferred roofing products
  • Manage and keep confidential information on existing programs, business plans, etc.
  • Basic computer skills required in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and PeopleSoft.
  • Proficiently use Salesforce, Contractor Portal, Qlik
  • Develop and present professional presentations for virtual and in-person facilitation.
  • Analyze costs, benefits, risk of a decision and the chances for success.
  • Develop customer road maps, advanced reporting, and new customer 3–6-month plans.
  • Analyze information and accordingly prepare an action plan.
  • Make quick judgments in determining the validity and credibility of information coming from external sources.
  • Manage time and expenses through advance travel planning for best return for expenses.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge, monitor industry to assess new developments, and anticipate industry trends.
  • Works national shows, as assigned.
  • Travel Expectations: Up to 70%
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Contractor Account Management - Manage and build value-added relationships within contractor and private equity groups.
  • Strategic planning: Develop detailed strategic target lists within each group Atlas has signed agreements with and create opportunities with groups Atlas does not have signed agreements with.
  • Contractor relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with national level contractors.
  • Distributor relationship management: Build relationships with distributor National Account teams focused on these segments. Work with them on contractor/group targets, market support and pricing.
  • Internal team Collaboration: Act as liaisons between contractors and various internal teams, such as sales management, and marketing, to ensure cohesive service delivery and address any issues that arise.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze account performance data and market trends to ensure performance goals are being met.
  • Driving Revenue Growth: Work with Sr. National Account Manager on pricing and program structure to drive revenue growth for both parties, which leads to strengthening business partnerships.
  • Internal Communication - Coordinate with Atlas Directors, Regional Sales Managers, Territory Reps to manage relationships with key accounts to ensure strategic alignment to grow volume squares.
  • Cross-regional coordination: Manage accounts that span multiple regions, ensuring alignment and consistency across teams. Proactively identify and communicate programs, risks, concerns, opportunities, or customer needs that may impact other regions. Facilitate open dialogue and collaboration by engaging the appropriate Director(s) and/or Regional Sales Manager(s) and/or Territory Rep(s) early to mitigate risk and drive coordinated outcomes.
  • Customer information: Secure and maintain customer profile information and communicate changes in a timely manner to the Atlas management team.
