About The Position

Operates an upright stranding machine or Bartell machine to strand wire onto a spool. Supervises the general quality of the wire/cable. Maintains and cleans the machines and area as required.

Requirements

• Demonstrates ability to self-motivate and to problem solve in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have good documentation practice.
• A proven understanding of part workmanship.
• Ability to read a micrometer and basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Measures wire/cable for size using micrometers.
• Clears area of other wire materials.
• Completes job cards and wire log sheets.
• Sets up the machines by threading wire through machine guides.
• Secures materials according to job being run.
• Respools wire/cable using respooling machines.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
