Crystal Cabinet Works is seeking a Straight Line Saw Operator to join our team in Princeton, MN! Since 1947, Crystal Cabinet Works has been a custom cabinet manufacturer located in central Minnesota. Schedule & Pay: 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 3:15 PM ; Friday 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM OT after required as needed Salary Grade D $20.20 - $24.40 Job Summary: The Straight Line Saw Operator is responsible for sorting and moving raw materials, setting and running various saws to ensure maximization of materials as well as staging finished product.
Requirements
- Knowledge of all quality specs for all wood species and knowledge of all material specs for each department.
Responsibilities
- Fills out daily planner.
- Reviews Kanban cards and prioritizes work.
- Operates forklift to procure lumber and stages unit on lift table.
- Sorts unit for length, width, quality and sorts other pieces for gang saw.
- Sets unit for length, width, quality and sorts other pieces for gang saw.
- Sets saw controller to the appropriate length and changes width to maximize utilization.
- Stacks finished product, places on carts and numbers.
- Cleans and greases saw as needed.
- Knowledge of all quality specs for all wood species and knowledge of all material specs for each department.
- Stacks, bands and stores unfinished units.
- Conducts monthly and year end physical inventory.
- Unloads trucks with forklift.
- Monitors sawdust trailer and moves hoses as well as cleans as needed.
- Operates radial arm saw as needed.
