About The Position

TAP Engineering is seeking System Administrators at the II and III levels to provide enterprise and HPC-focused Storage Sustainment support in large-scale, mission-critical environments. This role is responsible for the sustainment of the entire storage environment across two geographically dispersed locations, supporting heterogeneous, multi-vendor high-performance storage platforms, mass storage subsystems, and fiber channel interconnection fabrics. This position operates in a complex computing environment and requires strong troubleshooting skills, operational discipline, and the ability to support mission-critical systems with high availability requirements.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (most recent poly within the last 7 years)
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification
  • Experience administering Linux-, Unix-, or Windows-based systems
  • Experience supporting enterprise or HPC storage environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to support mission-critical systems in a 24/7 operational environment (as required)
  • Ability to collaborate with Government and contractor personnel
  • Level II: 5+ with degree, 10+ without degree.
  • Level III: 10+ with degree, 15+ without degree.
  • B.S in technical discipline

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
  • Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and incident response for storage environments
  • Manage and sustain enterprise and HPC storage systems
  • Support client/server, storage, and network devices
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support based on experience level
  • Escalate issues appropriately and communicate status to Government and internal stakeholders
  • Support dispatch operations for hardware-related issues and remain engaged through resolution
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and sustainment activities
  • Follow Government-defined ticketing, change management, and operational procedures
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and records
