About The Position

Receives order forms, locates stock and delivers supplies to departments. Checks order forms for proper coding, quantities requested and authorized approvals. Maintains inventory levels by checking shelves and preparing purchase orders. Stocks vendor deliveries in supply room. May operate a computer terminal.

Requirements

• Requires good health and eye sight.
• Requires being able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be capable of full range of body movement.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
• Basic computer skills desired, but required.
• No prior work experience necessary.
• Must submit a current semester class schedule (weekly view) and resume.
• Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels
• Prepares purchase orders when stock items reach reorder point
• Examines received items to verify conformance with specifications and purchase orders
• Reports on spoilage and stock damage
