About The Position

SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES 1. Knowledge of the legal requirements including but not limited to labor laws, health and safety requirements, chemical hazards and the cleaning expectations of all Food and Beverage areas with a focus on all kitchen areas. 2. Responsible for coordinating the activities of the staff with the Food and Beverage outlets’ expectations of business. 3. Controls all cleaning and maintenance of equipment and fixtures in the stewarding department by arranging for repairs and other services. 4. Responsible for interviewing, making selections, training, performance management and assessment of staff members. 5. Enforces observance by staff members of all health, safety, and fire regulations. 6. Obtains all necessary health standards and inspections criteria, ensuring that Stewarding staff performs their duties accordingly. 7. Must be available to work all shifts at any given time to provide the coverage to get the job done. 8. Maintaining Title 31 compliance accurately. 9. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be age 21 or older.
  • Must qualify for Tribal Non-Gaming License.
  • Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Requires tolerance to wet floors and temperature extremes
  • Abilities to regularly, and on a continuous basis, bend, stoop, lift and carry dish racks and other materials weighing up to 40 pounds or more at times
  • Frequently to stand for long periods and to move safely from area to area in the kitchen.
  • Can perform shift work regularly.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience in stewarding preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of legal requirements related to labor laws, health and safety, chemical hazards, and cleaning expectations in Food and Beverage areas.

  • Enforce health, safety, and fire regulations.
  • Obtain health standards and inspections criteria, ensuring staff compliance.
  • Be available to work all shifts to provide coverage.
  • Maintain Title 31 compliance accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.
