About The Position

Coordinates activities of stewarding and employees to ensure that the stewarding area and culinary areas are clean and well maintained, creating a work area that is free from safety hazards and compliant with Health & Safety guidelines. Job Description Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include: Key Job Functions Supervision of stewarding equipment and employees Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas Delegate work assignments to staff Assist in Banquet setups and plate ups Monitor performance and productivity of staff Assist with inventories & scheduling Attend safety and BEO meetings Review Board of Daily Activity and Chemical Tutorials Report to Engineering any problems with equipment Make rounds of all outlets and assist as needed Check loading dock area Check all storeroom areas and items Build solid relationship with your Colleagues Treat colleagues with respect and dignity Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description. Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates. Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor Professional Demeanor - Service Oriented Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage time and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Teamwork(Work well with all departments as we depend on all departments) Ability to stand for long periods of time (which may include an entire shift) Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Ability to communicate effectively and delegate job tasks Ability to handle stress and work flexible hours, weekends and holidays Education and/or Experience At least one 1 year experience supervising 5-8 individuals, general knowledge of kitchen machinery and kitchen cleaning techniques. Basic computer skill required.
