Requirements

• Background as a Structural Steel Detailer or related detailing/drafting position.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Tekla, or equivalent).
• Strong command of structural steel design concepts and fabrication processes.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail under deadline pressure.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team contributor.
• Foundational capability Blueprint reading

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related area preferred.
• Knowledge of steel detailing codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed shop and fabrication drawings for structural steel elements.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate, constructible details.
• Model and draft using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure specification compliance.
• Interface with fabrication teams to troubleshoot design issues during production.
• Systematically manage drawing logs, revisions, and version control.
• Contribute updates and insights during project coordination meetings.
