Under the direction of the Supervising Statistician or Statistician Manager, the Statistician 1 writes and runs computer programs to summarize and perform statistical analyses on data concerning topics in the biomedical sciences, preparing reports to summarize those results. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. The Statistician 1 will support the Rush Interdisciplinary Consortium for Critical Care Trials and Data Science (RICCC) by contributing to high-impact clinical and epidemiological research in critical illness. This role works closely with RICCC investigators, research coordinators, and multi-site collaborators to ensure high-quality data management, analysis, and harmonization across studies. The statistician will follow established RICCC data management and statistical protocols, assist in preparing datasets for analysis, and support the execution of manuscripts, abstracts, and conference presentations. The role also includes active participation in RICCC meetings, journal clubs, and consortium activities to support ongoing scientific discovery. This position plays a central role in coordinating data integration and supporting collaborative research efforts across multiple institutions participating in CLIF-based and other critical care studies.
