Responsibilities

  • Performs data analysis and/or data management for investigators using statistical packages including generation of tables and graphs.
  • Assists investigators in the design of experiments, clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
  • Assists in data base design, implementation and maintenance of data collected over time for research purposes, including acquisition, editing and reporting.
  • May assist in design and development of data entry systems.
  • May function as a statistical consultant primarily in collaborative studies involving the medical school community.
  • Implements and develops computational algorithms, software, and analytical workflows for the analysis of high-throughput, multi-omic datasets (e.g., single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics) from human and mouse preclinical and clinical studies.
  • Preprocesses, manages, and analyzes large, multi-dimensional clinical and preclinical datasets, including data extracted from electronic health records, using Python, R, and other relevant tools.
  • Applies statistical and machine learning methods (e.g., descriptive statistics, supervised and unsupervised learning) to support data-driven discovery and hypothesis generation.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary research teams to develop new computational methods and supports ongoing and future research studies.
  • Designs and maintains data management and analysis solutions that enable efficient storage, investigation, and dissemination of large-scale biomedical data.
