The Stationary Engineer operates or maintains stationary engines, boilers or other mechanical equipment to provide utilities such as light, heat, or power for buildings or industrial processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Stationary Engineer may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. 1. Implement routine monitoring system for general equipment maintenance and repair. Service and maintain heating and air conditioning systems Facilitate inspections of building, lawns and parking lots Plan, perform, organize, and direct the operation of the maintenance and repairs of all heating and cooling ventilating systems Assist Director of Facilities in obtaining bids and/or proposals for needed projects within the Health Center locations Work with sub-contractors Oversee all contractor work on property and Health Center equipment Facility oversight Conduct on-going inspections of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment Conduct preventative maintenance routine on all equipment Collaborate with security personnel to maintain and routinely test alarm systems Assign keys, create employee and visitor identification badges Maintain Safety, Compliance, and Operational Documentation Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, inspections, repairs, and system performance. Ensure compliance with OSHA, Life Safety Code, and organizational safety standards by completing required logs, reports, and documentation in a timely manner. Participate in safety drills and collaborate with Facilities leadership to ensure readiness and compliance across all building systems. Other duties as assigned.
