About The Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Does 24-hour scheduling for all nursing staff and some ancillary staff for time period per contract. Schedules are entered into computer system. 2. Nursing schedule is to be completed 2 weeks prior to posting and given to ADON for review. 3. Ensures that individual nursing schedules are printed out and given to switchboard for disbursement every four weeks. 4. Handles all call-ins and staff replacement during the day shift, Monday – Friday. 5. Prepares 24-hour assignment sheets on a weekly basis 6. Interfaces with staffing agencies/arranges coverage as directed per the nurse coverage plan. 7. Enters attendance data into Human Resource calendar system. 8. Calculates and posts BIPA information daily. 9. Tracks sign-on bonuses 10. Maintains updated employee phone list in nursing office 11. Maintains/monitors voluntary O. T. sign up book/lists per the nurse coverage plan 12. Enters/edits into timekeeping system and does payroll report for the nursing department. Reviews punch detail report for accuracy. 13. Prepares Nursing salaried time sheet for approval. 14. Monitors overtime and benefit time. 15. Must be available to periodically work more than eight (8) hours per day, or more than forty (40) hours per week. 16. Other related duties that may become necessary or as directed by the supervisor, department head and/or administration.   QUALIFICATIONS: One-year certificate from college or three to six months related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be reliable, responsible, trustworthy and exhibit tact and patience. Good communication skills – written and verbal, strong decision making skills. Experience with union environment. Scheduling experience desired. Confidentiality a must. Must be computer proficient and knowledgeable of Timekeeper, Microsoft Word and Excel.
