Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills; with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suites; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems and cash-handling experience.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, best practices, and sanitation requirements.
  • This position may require the following valid certifications; ServSafe Alcohol Certification, and Maricopa County approved Food Handler certification.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for stadium events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, ranging 6-12 hours, during events or as required by operational demands.
  • Frequent sedentary position while completing computer work.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, ascending/descending stairs, as necessary.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, and cold temperatures within the kitchen environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed.
  • Frequently required to use fingers and hands to type, enter data, or operate equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in the restaurant and/or sports entertainment industry
  • 1 years’ experience in Staffing role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate rosters for Concessions staff, temporary staffing agencies, and Non-Profit Organizations (NPO).
  • Ensure all Levy team members, NPO Volunteers, and Temporary Staff are compliant with required food handler and alcohol certifications.
  • Complete audits for NPO groups to ensure compliance with certification and background check requirements; escalate compliance issues to Director of Concessions and Human Resources.
  • Participate in onboarding and training for new NPO volunteers throughout MLB Season.
  • Send out monthly availability forms to Concessions team members, keep forms up to date.
  • Coordinate with management to create Staffing Matrix and assignments for each event/game.
  • Oversee daily check-in processes for all Concessions employees, NPO groups, and temporary staff; including time-clock compliance, uniform compliance checks, and stand assignments.
  • Conduct “bed checks” at all Concessions stands to verify the correct staff members and volunteers are assigned and on-site.
  • Monitor attendance and staffing email inbox, responding to all inquiries and making necessary adjustments to assignments and schedules.
  • Place temporary staffing orders and manage end-of-event Purchase Orders (PO).
  • Be present on the floor during events to check staff placement, monitor attendance, and assist with schedule adjustments.
  • Oversee key and radio sign-outs and ensure proper management of equipment.
  • Assist with uniform distribution, laundry room duties, and locker room upkeep.
  • Assist with Levy badge distribution and replacements, ensuring proper tracking and managing associated costs.
  • Assist with event paperwork, stand set up, and inventory management as needed.
  • Participate in mid-season audits for NPO groups to ensure continued compliance with regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
