About The Position

Job Specific Duties: Staffing Plans and develops nursing staff schedules for all areas of Healthcare Center  Ensures that all nursing areas are staffed appropriately based on the specific staffing pattern for census of each area in Healthcare, regulatory requirements and budgetary projections. Calculates the nursing care hours daily, analyzes variances in hours and reports findings to the respective department director and the Senior Director of Healthcare Services in a timely manner. Monitor overtime and analysis usage. Maintains accurate records of absenteeism, lateness and notifies the respective department director of infractions Serves as the primary liaison with nursing agencies to coordinate staffing needs.  Maintains records related to agency usage.  Analyzes agency utilization and adjusts staffing based on budgetary conditions.  Verifies agency billing.    On-boarding Verifies Nursing Registry prior to any new hires and performs reference checks of applicants seeking positions to assure appropriate qualifications. Verifies licenses and certifications, including CPR certifications, of nursing staff and assures they are current. Completes Status Change Form, requisitions, for any changes in status, position, rate of pay etc. in the effective pay period.   Other Works with IT for submission of Payroll Base Journal, PBJ to the Department of Health system and report timely. Participates in culture change initiatives. Processes payroll for Outpatient, Canterbury, Bridlewood, and Four Seasons ensuring proper payroll coding and accuracy of information. Distributes paychecks for the Healthcare. Rectifies any paycheck discrepancies for Healthcare team members Adheres to Human Resource policies and procedures as well as specific departmental policies and procedures related to leave requests, overtime usage etc. when scheduling staff for work. Tracks nursing vacancies and works closely with the Human Resource Department to fill staff needs. Assists with special projects and performs other related duties as assigned. Gathers statistical information as requested by the Department Director and the Senior Director of Healthcare Services. Participates in recruitment efforts by attending Job Fairs etc. Assist Medical Records and Unit Clerk when needed.   Qualifications 1 year of health care and staffing scheduling experience preferred.  Solid mathematical/computation skills required.
