About The Position

Fennemore is seeking a Staff Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist to support full-cycle recruiting and firm-wide onboarding for all non-attorney roles. This role partners closely with hiring managers and People Operations to deliver a high-quality candidate and new hire experience in a fast-paced, professional services environment. Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of recruiting experience in a professional services environment (law firm preferred, not required)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with ATS platforms and LinkedIn Recruiter (DataPeople and/or Payscale a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior onboarding coordination experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and people-focused with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly and professionally
  • Professional, discreet, and committed to confidentiality
  • Experience placing professionals in non-temporary roles, serving in a consultative capacity to guide candidate and hiring manager decision-making
  • Self-motivated professional capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize competing needs effectively
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional travel and participation in the People Ops team’s annual meeting

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for staff and administrative roles
  • Draft and post job ads; review resumes and conduct candidate screenings
  • Coordinate interviews with attorneys, managers, and candidates
  • Proactively source candidates using ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and referrals
  • Maintain accurate pipelines and candidate records in the ATS
  • Support offer preparation, background checks, and pre-employment steps
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires from offer acceptance through Day 1
  • Initiate onboarding communications and track pre-start requirements
  • Coordinate with IT, Office Services, and hiring managers to ensure Day 1 readiness
  • Distribute orientation schedules and support early onboarding logistics
