About The Position

The Staff Services Manager I is the unit manager of the Regulatory Compliance Unit. This unit has primary responsibility for training, inspecting, and regulating firearms dealers, exempted federal firearm licensees, manufacturers and ammunition vendors licensed to operate in California. The unit provides training to various stakeholders, as well as law enforcement agencies, regarding reporting firearms and other firearms and/or ammunition related responsibilities. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement. DOJ has temporarily adopted telework for employees who can effectively perform their essential work functions remotely. This position currently allows for a combination of telework and in office attendance. All telework schedules are temporary, based on current conditions and will be re-evaluated as conditions change.

Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
  • A background check will be required.
