About The Position

Under supervision of the Supervising Property Appraiser and under the guidance of the Senior Specialist Property Appraiser, the Staff Service Analyst (SSA) serves as a member of the State Board of Equalization's (BOE) Welfare Exemption Section. The SSA performs a wide variety of analytical and administrative functions as part of co-administering the welfare exemption and veterans' organization exemption. This includes, but is not limited to, applying laws, rules, and policies relating to the BOE's Property Tax Programs; reviewing and analyzing sensitive and technical materials regarding the less complex Organizational Clearance Certificate and Supplemental Clearance Certificate claim packages from various organizations for property tax exemption purposes; accessing taxpayer information via a computer, and modifying and updating account information, as necessary. Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for full or part-time telework for eligible candidates residing in California. Requirements

Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, courtesy, and consideration in all phases of work with both internal and external customers.
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, internet, and database systems.
Possess a valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities
