About The Position

The Staff Recruiter/HR Generalist manages the full cycle recruiting process from job description creation to offer negotiation and onboarding. The Staff Recruiter/HR Generalist works closely with the hiring manager and HR Manager to develop and implement strategies, and ensure the process is aligned with the organization's hiring strategy. The Staff Recruiter/HR Generalist finds and attracts the best talent for the organization's needs, while promoting the employer's brand and ensuring a positive candidate experience from application to onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of Recruiting experience
  • Experience recruiting professional office and manufacturing positions.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manages all phases of the recruiting, including, but not limited to, creating job postings, sourcing, interviewing, employment offers, background/reference checks, and the onboarding process.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and HR Manager to identify personnel needs, job specifications, qualifications, and skills. Continue the collaboration during the interview and offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Review applications, screen, and interview qualified applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
  • Develops technical/competency-based and behavioral interview questions and other hiring and selection materials for each position.
  • Collaborates with HR Leadership on recruitment branding strategy
  • Proactively sources passive candidates utilizing all recruiting tools
  • Develop and create onboarding plans with the hiring manager
  • Conducts employee new hire orientation
  • Build and maintain pipeline pools for future roles
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts (schools, community organizations, niche job boards, etc.) to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Managing temporary workforce and effectively communicate with temporary staffing agencies
  • Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates when needed.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with payroll processing and HRIS data entry
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
