Staff Program Manager, Digital Products Engineering Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to our Engineering Technical Center in Warren (MI) or Austin (TX) three times per week at minimum. This position can be located at either of these locations. At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard – from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale. The Role We are looking for a Staff Program Manager to lead the program execution of GM’s Retail Vehicle Experience within the Digital Products and Infrastructure organization. In this highly cross-functional and strategic role, you will lead complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives that directly impact GM’s end‑to-end digital customer experience. You will operate as a senior execution leader, partnering closely with engineering leadership, product, business, and executive stakeholders to translate strategy into delivery. You will shape and operationalize program governance, roadmap execution, dependency management, and change management practices to enable responsible, scalable, and high‑impact software delivery across the enterprise. This role requires comfort navigating ambiguity, influencing without authority, and driving outcomes across multiple organizations. You will partner with key DPI Engineering Directors to ensure the full scope of software development activities are planned, prioritized, and executed effectively. You will provide a program‑level lens across all deliverables, dependencies, risks, and work efforts, including managing intake demand relative to capacity across the Digital Products & Infrastructure (DPI) portfolio.
