Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there’s one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games. We're building a new 3P Commerce platform that helps game studios bring their in-game items directly to players on Discord. From social shopping and group-driven discovery to seamless mobile buying experiences, we're creating a new way for players to purchase the items they care about, together. This is a foundational bet for Discord - one that sits at the intersection of our social platform, the gaming ecosystem, and a brand new revenue line. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the Commerce consumer experience end-to-end. You'll set the product vision and strategy for how players discover and buy 3P in-game items on Discord, drive execution across a cross-functional team, and shape the long-term direction of Commerce as a core part of Discord's platform. This role requires someone who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level - defining what we build and why, while also rolling up their sleeves to ship high-quality product in a fast-moving, ambiguous space.
