Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field
2- 4 years of experience
Knowledge of groundwater principles and environmental regulations
Ability to use field equipment and interpret basic hydrogeologic data
Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration
Generally work in both office and field settings
May require frequent travel to various field sites
May involve exposure to varying weather conditions and rough terrain
May involve occasional lifting of equipment and materials

Responsibilities

Conduct field investigations to collect environmental samples, oversee drilling operations, install groundwater monitoring wells, and collect groundwater-related data
Analysis of basic hydrogeological data using various techniques
Develop and calibrate groundwater models to simulate flow and transport processes
Prepare detailed reports and maps to present findings and recommendations
Monitor groundwater levels and quality, and assess the impact of human activities on groundwater resources
Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals on multidisciplinary projects
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards
Provide technical support for groundwater remediation and water resource management projects
