We are looking to fill a geologist/hydrogeologist position with to serve out of our Fort Myers or Tampa Bay office, under the supervision of a licensed Professional Geologist (PG).

Requirements

  • Minimum of BS in Geology or closely aligned field of study with relevant coursework.
  • 2 to 5 years’ related experience.
  • Knowledge of geologic concepts including sedimentology, stratigraphy, karst systems, aquifer testing, geochemistry, groundwater and surface water monitoring.
  • Knowledge of the geologic, hydrologic, and soil classification systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles and standards of scientific study, field investigation and sampling, experimentation, research, and documentation.
  • Ability to understand project objectives and schedules and meet critical deadlines and budgets.
  • Ability to work with contractors, clients, and a diverse team of project delivery experts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; organized and reliable. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technical writing experience.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance and working outdoors in Florida weather conditions.
  • Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving policy.
  • Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Geologist in Training (GIT) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with development of testing plans, well drilling, aquifer/well performance tests, instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis, report preparation, water resource permitting, and infrastructure design.
  • Direct contractors during hydrogeologic explorations and testing programs.
  • Must be capable of understanding technical aspects of hydrogeologic projects and execute projects to meet technical, quality, and scheduling requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication and written skills.
