About The Position

Ontra is seeking a Staff GTM Engineer reporting to our Director, Marketing Operations. We’re looking for someone excited to innovate and elevate our marketing systems by designing AI-powered, automated GTM workflows, systematizing outreach and enrichment across the funnel, and experimenting with data-driven strategies to fuel acquisition and growth. If you’re an experienced GTM technologist with a strategic, results-driven mindset, who thrives in cross-functional environments, has a track record of building scalable GTM systems, and is passionate about applying AI to real-world growth challenges, we’d love to get to know you!

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of senior level experience in GTM Engineering, Marketing Ops Engineering, RevOps Engineering, or similar AI/automation-focused roles.
  • Technical Foundations: Proven experience working with APIs, webhooks, and SaaS integrations, along with scripting or programming (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python) for custom logic and transformations.
  • GTM Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience owning and evolving GTM platforms such as Salesforce and Marketo at a system or integration level, not just as an end user.
  • Automation & Orchestration Tools: Experience building workflows using tools like Clay, Zapier/Make, or similar enrichment and automation platforms.
  • AI & LLM Experience: Practical experience implementing AI or LLM-powered solutions (e.g., ChatGPT API or similar) within GTM workflows.
  • Experimentation & Data Fluency: Ability to design and run GTM experiments and measure impact using data, including comfort with SQL (or similar) for validation and analysis.
  • B2B SaaS & Cross-Functional Mindset: Experience operating in a B2B SaaS environment and partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Product, and Data teams.

Responsibilities

  • Workflow Design and Automation: Design and build AI-powered GTM workflows that scale acquisition, activation, and pipeline - replacing manual and one-off processes with durable, reusable systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Product teams to identify GTM inefficiencies and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Integration Management: Build and maintain reliable integrations between AI platforms and core GTM systems, ensuring clean data flow, high data quality, and operational continuity.
  • Experimentation and Optimization: Design, run, and analyze GTM experiments (e.g., outbound, routing, enrichment), using results to refine workflows, optimize strategies, and inform what to scale.
  • AI Model & Prompt Development: Develop, test, and refine AI models, agents, and prompts to improve accuracy, performance, and reliability in real-world GTM use cases.
  • System Reliability & Observability: Implement data validation, error handling, monitoring, and logging so AI-powered workflows are stable, observable, and trustworthy at scale.
  • Documentation & GTM Enablement: Document workflows, integrations, and patterns, and enable GTM teams to move faster by reducing manual work and providing scalable, reusable tools.
