About The Position

The Staff Development Specialist, is responsible for designing training plans, competencies and conducting educational programs for nursing staff and other members of the Meadowood team. Develops and coordinates new employee competency-based orientation program. Monitors new employees throughout their individualized orientation period. Oversees annual training compliance and competency testing. Ownership of Mission and Vision at Meadowood.

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • 3-5 years’ experience with the geriatric population and the ability to mentor/ coach/ educate all levels of staff
  • Must possess a positive energy and enthusiasm for developing staff’s strengths
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good public speaker

  • Develop and serve as Primary Instructor for the Pennsylvania Department of Education–approved Nurse Aide Training Program, when applicable.
