About The Position

Step into a role where your training empowers direct care staff — and the lives they touch every day. At JFK ADATC, the Staff Development Specialist I plays a critical role in preparing employees to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. Through engaging instruction, hands-on skill demonstration, and thoughtfully-designed learning materials, you ensure staff are confident, competent, and ready to respond when it matters most. While you may not deliver patient care directly, the knowledge and skills you instill in others directly impact safety, recovery, and outcomes across our facility. To sum it up, this role designs, delivers, and tracks high-impact training that equips staff to provide safe, effective care. You’ll lead New Employee Orientation, Annual Mandatory Training, CPR, Crisis Intervention, and other required programs — bringing energy, clarity, and confidence to every session. From creating polished presentations and video tutorials to managing compliance in Cornerstone LMS, you ensure training is engaging, organized, and audit-ready. If you love developing people, thrive in front of an audience, and enjoy blending creativity with structure — this is your stage.
