Requirements

  • Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college preferably with courses in public or business administration.
  • Requires two years of professional experience in a public or business organization.
  • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties.
  • Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant.
  • Prefers 2 years of office experience.
  • Prefers 2 years of experience conducting research and analyzing information.
  • Prefers 2 years of experience representing his/her supervisor in meetings.
  • Prefers 2 years of experience tracking data.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as staff assistant to the Deputy Director, providing consultation regarding matters which are often of a sensitive and/or controversial nature.
  • Provides professional assistance to the Deputy Director in the research, design, implementation, and reporting of special studies/projects on programmatic and administrative responsibilities.
  • Researches, gathers detailed information, analyzes information, and prepares responses to communications on behalf of the Deputy Director.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
