About The Position

Provide support services to the department to include gathering of information necessary for the other team members to be successful. Greet customers, answer phones, and direct customers appropriately. Handle documents and other materials to support the department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in banking preferred
  • Educational background in accounting or equivalent obtained through practical experience.
  • Must possess administrative and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Keyboarding and computer skills required. Typing speed of 70 wpm. Software skills needed such as: Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).
  • Self-sufficient / self-starting.
  • General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, selling skills, team skills and time management.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to Lending Officers.
  • Answer, respond and direct calls and/or emails promptly and professionally. Take messages as needed. Greet clients and prospective clients extending courtesy, kindness, and genuine interest.
  • Prepare and verify loan documents. Review loan specifics to determine documents to be used.
  • Post new loans in the system and run the corresponding GL tickets.
  • Maintains and updates loan records on the appropriate platform and in the file.
  • Process payments and disbursements. Compare and verify loan payments and disbursements to loan requirements. Review policy guidelines for conformance to standards, notify supervisor of discrepancies.
  • Ongoing review of Credit Files to update UCC/EFS filings and maintain status reporting of pending documentation.
  • Research and resolve problems and discrepancies. Process corrective action, assist loan officers and customers by researching and responding to inquiries. Maintain and balance monthly reports.
  • Reviewing previous days loan input and reports making sure corrections are completed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
