About The Position

We’re looking for a Staff Data Analyst to join our Care Analytics team at Hims & Hers. In this role, you will act as a hands-on, strategic analytics partner, helping shape how we measure, understand, and improve the end-to-end patient care experience. You will partner closely with Care Experience, Clinical, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to solve complex problems, identify opportunities, and drive improvements in care quality, business performance, and patient outcomes. As a Staff Analyst, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, owning ambiguous, high-impact problems end-to-end, influencing cross-functional decisions, and setting the pace for analytical execution across the Care organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field
  • Proven ability to own complex, ambiguous problems and drive measurable business impact
  • Expert SQL skills, including working with large datasets and writing optimized queries
  • Strong experience with data modeling and collaboration with data / analytics engineering (e.g., dbt)
  • Advanced experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker), including building scalable dashboards and defining shared metrics
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis (e.g., pandas, statistical analysis)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect insights to operational and strategic decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and execute in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage LLMs and AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor) to accelerate analysis, improve productivity, and enhance problem-solving
  • Experience in the telehealth industry
  • Experience working with patient journey, clinical, or operational data
  • Familiarity with subscription-based business models

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive high-impact analytical problems across Care, from problem definition through execution and recommendation
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and clear, actionable insights
  • Lead deep-dive analyses into care operations, patient journeys, and provider workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities
  • Define and own core Care metrics and KPI frameworks, ensuring consistency and alignment across teams
  • Build and scale dashboards, reporting, and data foundations to support both operational and strategic decision-making
  • Partner with Analytics Engineering to improve data models, data quality, and accessibility of Care data
  • Proactively surface insights that influence prioritization and inform cross-functional roadmaps
  • Communicate complex findings clearly to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders, and drive data-informed decisions
  • Act as a trusted partner and subject matter expert across Care, Clinical, Operations, Product, and Engineering
  • Mentor other analysts and contribute to raising the bar for analytical rigor, best practices, and team impact
