About The Position

The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the financial health of the organization. This position involves preparing and maintaining financial records, assisting with closing activities, and preparing comprehensive financial statements and reports.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline financial processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for department managers.
  • Handle sales tax returns and manage cash flow for cost.
