About The Position

Four Stars Auto Group is hiring, and we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team! This role supports dealership operations through a combination of general accounting responsibilities and vehicle title processing. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication across departments.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Bookkeeping/Accounting experience is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing, which includes a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year or more of experience in automotive dealerships would be a plus.
• CDK experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general accounting duties, dealer trades, inventory stock in, and payables.
• Assist the Title Administrator with preparing and submitting all title work relating to retail and wholesale deals via WebDealer.
• Assist with processing out-of-state transactions.
• Calculate sales taxes, title transfer fees, registration fees, and all other applicable governmental fees.
• Identifies any missing or incorrect title documents, communicates with Sales and F&I managers, and follows up on missing paperwork.
• Ensure all title work is submitted to DMV offices within required deadlines.
• Reconciling accounting schedules, issue title work refund checks to customers as needed.
